Visiting lanes a new vogue of foreigners
www.chinanews.cn 2006-05-17 16:28:01
Public houses and eateries in Shikumen lanes at Shanghai Xintiandi, an
urban tourist attraction imbued with the city's historical and cultural
legacies, were full of foreign tourists on May 16. Visiting alleys in
Shanghai becomes a fresh vogue among foreigner tourists, who will
certainly eat or drink something in the bars or restaurants in Shikumen
alleys, tasting Shanghai-style dim-sum while enjoying the scenery of the
lanes, or savoring international delicacies while viewing life in
Shanghai.
