Chinese volunteers to begin environmental campaign on Everest

Chinanews, May 22 - The commencement ceremony and press conference of the
great campaign on the third polar on Earth - Mount Everest, was held in
Beijing on May 20.
Chinese volunteers will set off for Tibet on May 22 to take part in a
16-day environmental protection activity for public welfare.
The activity will set up the first "Everest environmental protection
mountaineering team" to complete the electricity supply project for the
highest village in the world, offer donations and assistance for the
primary school with the highest altitude, establish an education
workstation that stands the highest in the world and carry out regular
environmental protection promotion and education on the Everest.
